I've always been artistic. I remember spending lots of recesses in grade school inside drawing animals; I don't think there was ever a moment where I considered being anything other than an artist when I grew up.
I dabbled in many artistic mediums during my college years - drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery.....however, I've declared photography my medium of choice for its immediacy and manipulation potential. I've recently discovered the technique of using a flatbed scanner to capture the abstract patterns within fruit, vegetables, & flowers. I'm very excited as the subject possibilities are endless!
Why do I have a drive to create?
To me, creating art is the process of expressing my awe of the Creator God for the amazing world He has given us. I am fascinated at all the incredible detail in nature - I think God is the most brilliant abstract artist of all! The talent and artistic vision He has given me is such a blessing, and I'm honored to glorify Him with it. It's what I can do in gratitude for the His gift of eternal life through Jesus' death and resurrection.
Thank you for visiting my page - have a great day and God bless you!
