In 1993 Janelle made a commitment during a "True Love Waits" rally to God, her parents, and her future husband to remain pure so she could enter into a biblical marriage relationship. Following this commitment, she studied the scriptures intensely and God laid it on her heart to develop a program for young ladies based on the example given to us in Proverbs 31 of a Virtuous Lady.
Lady of Virtue ministries started as Janelle Goodwin attended Bible College in upstate NY, where she was burdened to see souls saved from eternal condemnation. Upon returning home from Bible College the burden changed to seeing the women of the world changed into Ladies of Virtue. She began reading and studying the word of God to find out how to be the best lady she could be for Christ Jesus.
After years of study and prayer, her dream and ministry began. With testimony and unconditional love, she has been able to reach many with the message that Gods word and way remains the absolute truth. The symbol she created for being a Lady of Virtue is a "key". The reason for this is simple. A key keeps things safe as well as opens things up. She encourages ladies to use their key to keep their souls, minds, hearts, and bodies safe from the things of the world as well as open their souls, minds, hearts, and bodies to the things of Christ.
Over 50 girls have joined Lady of Virtue to date, and its still growing. Janelle has presented Chad with her silver key, as she takes on her gold key. The gold key comes after marriage. Since this burden started she has had the opportunity to conduct her own Home Bible Study and Small Group Bible Studies in several churches. Janelle has had the privilege of seeing many souls saved and lives touched through the message that God has laid on her heart.
