Her songs "Backpack," "Slipping Away" and "Charms" highlight a unique vocal talent that is comparable to Alicia Keys, Jewel and Dusty Springfield. In a recent interview with The Daily Northwestern, the singer-songwriter elaborated on her desire to make music her life's work. "During [my] junior year an indie label offered to sign me but I would have been just a singer, not a songwriter, so I didn't take it, and ultimately it was the right decision because I'm happy with where I am now." .. ..
