JANESVILLE is an eclectic country band based in Chicago. This versatile group captivates crowds with their mix of original music and crowd-pleasing covers.
TORREYA LYN ("Torri") is Janesville's lead singer/songwriter and rhythm guitar player, and she launched the project that is now Janesville in April of 2004. A licensed attorney, she prosecuted criminals and represented police officers for several years before realizing that she loves music more than the practice of law. She is still trying to adjust to the huge paycut she has taken, but she finds writing country songs much more enjoyable than writing summary judgment motions.
OWEN COOPER is Janesville's talented and experienced lead guitar player and the band's musical director. Janesville's solid rhythm section is bassist, KARL PAULSEN, and drummers, PAUL HARRIS and JULIAN STACEY. Finally, Janesville is so very happy to have the lovely Mother/daughter back up singing team of CINDY and ALAINA STACEY.
Together, Janesville can win over crowds of folks who didn't even know they liked country music!

Hey Tor -- Nice going on all the good gigs for October. I'm so excited that my teeth fell out and landed in the shag carpeting in my bathroom (oops, I guess that was someone else. Never mind.).
Well, I don't agree with the person who commented before me that you guys are better than Heartsfield, but then again, I'm biased, being the Heartsfield bass player's wife! But my talented daughter and I LOVED your show on Sunday, and we're now fans. You & I said hi to each other backstage, but I should have introduced myself. Hopefully you saw me on the sidelines TOTALLY into your performance! You have a kickass band and GREAT songs! You guys really ROCK!!!
hey i saw yall at ribfest on sunday... u were definately better than that other band that played after u guys! :) your music is pretty good! keep it up!
Torri, your CD is awesome! Jacob and Bella LOVE LOVE LOVE it and have been listening to it in the car since the night of the show. Should I worry if my 4 year old is looking for a cowboy?? :) ATB
Hi Torreya!! Thanks for the add, the privilege is mine!! Congratulations for your sound and your voice...great Country Music!! :-) Please you listen my song "CELEBRATE"!! ;-) Goodbye from Italy!! Stay tuned on...... MAX STRATOS & Co.
You all were AMAZING last night, as always. I might need another pink t-shirt. My friend, who's obsessed with cowboys, is going to Nashville in a couple weeks. I think the pink T would be appropriate. ;-)
