Janet Hall O'Neil picked up her sister’s ukulele when she was ten years old and has been “making up” songs ever since. Her music runs through a wide range of genres including folk, country, pop and blues. With her expressive voice and creative guitar Janet paints musical portraits that touch the heart and the funny bone. Listeners will hear the influence of Carole King, Bonnie Raitt and Trisha Yearwood.
Janet and her longtime songwriting partner, Dan Farmer, first sharpened their song craft while attending The University of Alabama. Janet's career as a journalist led her back to her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. The Hall/Farmer duo continues to thrive in the Birmingham area where they have performed at WorkPlay, The Moonlight Music Cafe and Local Color.
Janet recently released her debut CD that has delighted listeners and surprised those who knew her only as the news lady.
