Hi, Thanks for viewing my MySpace. I come from a musical family and have always been surrounded by music. I started singing in chapel where my mother played the piano. I think my love of harmony came from there. I used to practise singing along with the different parts every Sunday. That's where as a child I learned the Welsh hymn "Calon Lân" (which is the last song on my JANET REES album.) I wanted to record it as I used to sing it in chapel, with my mother playing the piano--- which is what we did, & on the last chorus I managed to coax her, & my daughter to sing along with me.
When I was 11 years old, my parents bought me a guitar and over the years we've had some very happy times together! I finished singing professionally when I was 21. A few years ago I decided to record some of my favourite songs, so I went back into the studio (which I had really missed) and recorded just 3 songs, then later on a few more, until eventually I had enough for an album, which was only intended for family and friends, but I've been persuaded to make it available to a wider audience.
SONGS INCLUDE: 1.Turquoise- 2.Lisa Lân- 3.If you were a carpenter- 4.I never dreamed you'd leave in summer- 5.I live one day at a time- 6.Old Welsh song- 7.Fennario- 8.Suo gân- 9.Caravan- 10.The Rose- 11.How can I tell you-12.The flower that shattered the stone- 13.Davey- 14.Calon Lân-(Welsh hymn).

I enjoyed making the album so much that in 2008 I started recording another one. This time a compilation of my favourite Welsh & English Christmas Carols, entitled—"CHRISTMAS" .
Songs include: 1.Good King Wenceslas – 2.In The Bleak Midwinter – 3.Deck The Hall – 4.Tawel Yw’r Nôs/Silent Night – 5.Hallelujah & Merry Christmas – 6.Iesu Faban – 7.Joy To The World – 8.The Coventry Carol – 9.Tua Bethlem Dref – 10.What Sweeter Music – 11.O Dawel Ddinas Bethlehem – 12.The Cherry Tree Carol – 13.We Three Kings – 14.We Wish You A Merry Christmas/Dymunwn Nadolig Llawen. They are all traditional Carols except for Track 5.Hallelujah & Merry Christmas, which my daughter Miriam wrote especially for the new album. The last Carol is a family affair in which my mother & daughter join me in wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, or as we say in Wales, Dymunwn Nadolig Llawen. We had a lot of fun in Sonic-One recording studio that morning singing & playing all the instruments.
Thanks to the internet, I can share my music with others. One of my dreams is to sing the theme song to a film, so if anyone out there has any contacts please get in touch!! I hope you enjoy listening to my music as much as I enjoyed making it, Janet.

Thanks for the message, hope you are well. Thanks for letting me know about the updates on your myspace - will have a look at them.
I was meaning to contact you - us men and multitasking etc.
Would it be allright if I donated the second cd - you gave me as a personal gift (i'm honoured) to the local hospital radio. I used to DJ there (many moons ago) and I think your Christmas cd - would brighten the patients stay in the hosptial.
If you don't want me to .... then I will honour your decision.
