I grew up in Spotsylvania, VA. I dated my husband Jon when he was stationed at Quantico, but when he received his orders to report to Camp Pendleton, we eloped and moved to Southern California. We were stationed at Camp Pendleton for over four years, where we went through 2 war time deployments to Iraq.
I love being a Marine wife, so much so that I've taken all my adventures as a military wife into a stand up act, "The Military Wife."

I got my book yesterday and I wanted to say THANK YOU SOO MUCH !!!!!! I bought the book for my friend who is a Navy wife and as a civilian I wanted to read it. I sat there and READ THE WHOLE THING ! ! ! I've never been through what military wives go through but I did get a lot of good laughs from it..

I kinda stumbled upon your site by mistake, it was your profile pick, and I am soooooo thankful that I did. I really needed a pick me up the other day and you were it. Ive already started quoting you in everyday conversationI ...actually, my bestie and I spent a good 15 min of our nightly conversation talking about you and your humor...you rock... Ive been married 2 years now (so we still like each other...) and this is the first deployment...which I was NOT ready for. I have told everyone about semper fiesty and even sent your link to the guys in iraq. They also find you fantastic. I just wanted to send a quick note telling you thanks, sincerely, for being so clever, yet so real. Ill do what I can to spread the word and I hope to be a smidge of what you are some day. :)
OMG i was crying from that!!! I so know how all of that is, just the other day i was ALMOST out of the gate leaving base & i didn't realize it was 5 o'clock & i had to stop & i had to pee like no other!! I"m lucky i made it home & the whole mustache thing! I HATE IT SO DAMN BAD!! my husband is deployed right now & has one too & his call sign for his job is actually 2cap because when they were giving out call signs at his class party when he was training to be a weapons director everyone kept saying that he looks like he should be on that show "To catch a predictor" so they gave him the call sign 2cap! I always call him Chester the molester (his name isn't chester though) lol BUt i just wanted to say thank you for the laughs they really help & I can't wait for you book to come out!! & hopefully when we PCS to Arizona you can make it down there. THANK YOU : )
