My Mom and my oldest son Sergeant Joshua Charles Brennan, who died for our great country October 26, 2007 in the Korengal Valley of Afghanistan. May his memory live on in the lives and hearts of all of us and may the brothers who fought beside him in the 173rd Airborne Brigade find comfort knowing that he is now soaring in heaven with our Father. In memory of my beloved Son, Joshua Charles Brennan ("Chuck"), killed in action in the Korengal Valley of Afghanistan on October 26, 2007........................................I cannot find the words to describe the anguish, the loss, the void in my life...... there are so very many people who loved him, looked up to him and considered him to be their personal hero. For the men of the 173rd Airborne Brigade who served by his side in battle ........I know you are hurting also. I know you loved Joshua. You are all in my heart. My thoughts and my prayers are with you for your continued safety and return home to your loved ones.................................May God bless each and every one of you and shield you with His Armor.

I am married to the sweetest man who is the hardest worker I think I've ever met. I've never met anyone else who would drive from Oregon to California (12 hour drive) to pick up a dining room set- stay for less than 24 hours, turn around and drive back to Oregon- then have to leave 5 hours later to drive to Nebraska by himself to go to work!!! He works hard and loves others will all his heart. He has been my rock during the most difficult period of time in my life.

My oldest son Sergeant Joshua Charles Brennan "Chuck" served proudly as an Airborne paratrooper Infantryman with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in the United States Army. He was killed in action October 26, 2007 in the Korengal Valley of Afghanistan during his second combat tour when his platoon was ambushed. The love and respect his fellow soldiers had for him was evident by the heroic acts of several of his comrades - one whom also paid the ultimate sacrifice, to keep the Taliban insurgents from dragging Joshua away after he was shot. Rest in peace my beloved Son.... Joshua Charles Brennan 05-30-85 to 10-26-07. Your legend lives on.... you had your wings on earth fighting battles beside your brothers - now you have your wings in heaven watching over them. Battle Hard Joshua, Battle hard. You are forever with me Son.

Jessica (21) just got married to Robert Anthony VonBerndt on October 17th, 2008! Congratulations Jessica and Bobby! Jessica is enjoying a new career assisting drug and alcohol patients with accounts/insurance and maintaining their records. She is loving her job and she is such a people person that it is perfectly suited to her! Jessie is a thrillseeker... (Just look at her profile picture... she's skydiving!) Jessica is the apple of her little sisters eyes and is my "Sweet Pea." She picked up one of my bad habits.... and that is taking in every stray creature that comes along..... However--- somehow her stray creatures end up on our little farm. Hmmmmmmmm... Updated news... they are expecting a baby boy due June 27, 2009!!!

Robert (18) is a Sports Nut. He's currently playing basketball and loves being on the golf course! The ladies love him and a while back he captured the nickname of "Cloud Lips." There's a story behind "cloud lips" which I MUST share... A few months back, Robert gave his little sister Courtney a kiss goodbye on the lips and the words that came out of Courtney's mouth were "Mommy, Roberts lips are soft as clouds." So- there you have it folks... "Cloud Lips." Robert is still investigating several colleges and plans to joing the National Guard (Army) while he attends college.

Brooke (14) loves volleyball and also found a new interest in playing Softball. Brooke loves to read. She also loves to ride the four wheeler all around our property - but looks forward to when she can drive OFF the property. She is an awesome big sister and very kind hearted. Her Dad and stepmother have a little baby boy (Jace) and Brooke absolutely adores him - and he adores her! She loves music and rarely can be found without a set of earphones on her head. We've always referred to Brooke as our little "Drama Queen" and she is true to the part now as she has been in several school plays with one coming up in the spring of 2009!

Courtney (10) is my little ball of energy! She is my animal lover through and through and aspires to be a veterinarian or wild life photographer. She loves riding our horses and riding the four wheeler around with Brooke. She's not afraid to tell you that her favorite person in the whole wide world is her Grandma Nancy Cutler. Her big brother Joshua and her Grandma Nancy are for sure her heroes!!! Courtney also is a little thrill seeker. She should have been awarded a bronc saddle or buckle a while back when her horse went into a bucking frenzy and she stayed with him for what seemed an eternity. (I darned sure know it was more than 8 seconds!) Well- after she hit the ground, she regained her composure and climbed back on. What a trooper. Most recently she has begun dressage lessons and she and I will soon be in competition together.

I am a total animal enthusiast. I enjoy riding our horses and especially enjoy riding down to the river which is only about 1/4 mile away from our house. We own a small acreage in Ontario and it is our little piece of heaven. I raise Golden Retrievers (our latest litter was born December 22, 2008 - 6 beautiful blondes ... 2 females and 4 males). Many of you know that we may very well stop breeding Goldens due to some health issues with our newest female "Airborne" but it is not 100% certain. Proceeds from the litters fund the Sergeant Joshua Charles Brennan Scholarship founded in the spring of 2008. I am the loudest fan at my children's games...(Just ask them!) There are sports, concerts, plays and horse events all year round and between these events, horseback riding and just loving it up with my hubby and family, life couldn't be any better and I couldn't be any more blessed.

Away from home I wear a badge and am proud to be a protector and server of our beautiful County of Malheur. While I enjoy what I do in my career, my zest for life and the things I look forward to most is preserving my sons memory with a passion and spending time with my family and friends no matter what we're doing.

Any family members and/or friends of the brave men who my son served with. Wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends of a fallen soldier.
well thankfully i had the best mother, healthy haired grandmother, and worksorse stepfather to watch the movie with!!! but as for the movie itself, travolta and williams are just not on the map anymore. know what i mean?
