Yippieee! It's arriving everywhere in Europe at different days! I'm glad it did arrive anyway :) I had to search what Sylvester means, we never call December 31st like that! If you want, I can send you my address.. or maybe I did write it on the envelope, I can't remember xD. I love receiving cards - I still have cards from 2006 hanging on my door. Oh and how was my German by the way, hahha!
That's very sweet of you to offer that! But are you sure you can go there this time.. since your dad didn't want to bring you last time? I really really hope so!
I would stay in Germany then :) My plan is to travel to Dortmund on the 7th, go to the concert, stay in a hotel there, travel to Köln on the 8th, go to the concert, stay in a hotel there and travel back to Holland on the 9th. But I have to say that there aren't very much hotels in Dortmund ><. I should ask if I can't just travel with the bands between Dortmund and Köln, hahaha :P
I love Müller. And I love Lotto Toto's which sell a lot of magazines; we only can but the Sonic Seducer in Holland, but no Orkus or Zillo or something!
Haha indeed! But can't you buy those cd's at Müller? I know they have a lot of metal there :O
Btw, I don't really get why Rotterdam-Köln is 9 euros and Dortmund-Köln is 28. AND: Rotterdam-Dortmund is 12 euros while Dortmund is closer to Holland. WTH XD.
So if I buy exactly what I am going to travel): Rotterdam-Dortmund = 12 Dortmund-Köln = 28 Köln-Rotterdam = 9 that will cost me 49 euros..
And if I buy too much: Rotterdam-Köln = 9 (but then I will leave the train in Dortmund) Rotterdam-Köln = 9 (but I will get in the train in Dortmund, of course) Köln-Rotterdam = 9 That will cost me 27 euros. I don't get this logic :P
Haha, I do that too.. Christmas is more about being together I think, not for the presents. But I bought some presents for my parents today. And yes, I have wishes, but I have to buy those cd's (Letzte Instanz & Elis) myself I think :P
I think you are right! No, my family don't give presents at Sinterklaas. It was my sister's birthday so first we didn't celebrate it because than she would get more, and now she's passed away, it is more a memorable than a festive day :)
I am seriously thinking of going to Dortmund and Köln too: I happen to have no class during those weeks, so I have time to go there.. and it's not very expensive by train. I asked someone if he wanted to go to Dortmund to, else I will go on my own.. but then I will see you in april already :D I'm so obsessed, I just can't stand the idea that I will see two shows in the very beginning of the tour and then have to live 2 more weeks without hearing anything from Liv and knowing that lots of MySpace friends see her xD. Sooo if I go to 4 shows, I think I have rest :P
I'm going to find out more the Nikolaus story - they share the same name (Sinterklaas' real name is Sint Nicolaas) so good chance that it's the same history!
So, I am allowed to have a short break from my reading stuff, so now I'll try to explain you what Sinterklaas is.. I tried to explain Liv and that didn't work out so well, but writing is always easier than talking xD.
Well.. for some reason we make children believe that Sinterklaas is a saint who comes to visit Holland every year to celebrate his birthday (at december 6th). He arrives in november, about three weeks before his birthday, on a boat, and he is accompanied by lots of black people in strange outfits; Zwarte Pieten. This arrival is always broadcasted on television (although he always arrives everywhere, there is always one place (which differs every year) where the 'real' Sinterklaas is arriving, he meets the major of the city etc..), which is very nice to watch hehe. That real Sinterklaas (who is, of course, an actor) was a participant in Ik Hou Van Holland yesterday :D. But ok, to continue my story. From the moment Sinterklaas and his Pieten arrive in Holland, kids can hahahahah. It sounds sooo ridiculous xD. Kids can put their shoe in front of the fireplace, and then they believe Zwarte Piet will put a present in the shoe (Sint and Piet always come through the chimney). So, imagine a little kid, putting his shoe in front of the fireplace, with a carrot in it and a bowl of water next to it (for the horse, since Sinterklaas & Piet walk on the roofs with a white horse), singing Sinterklaas-songs and then going to bed, full of excitement. Hahaha. And then the next morning they can find a little present in their shoe. Thank you, dear parents ;-). But that's not all.. because december 5th is the so-called Pakjesavond - traditionally celebrated with your family. Kids are (again) made believe that Sinterklaas is coming to bring a full bag with presents.. it happens a lot that some uncle dressed up as Sinterklaas, or that the neighbour bounces on the door, and all of a sudden there is a bag with presents in front of the door, woohooo. Hahaha oh
Am I? Haha, I'll check that out xD! Wait a minute..
No, haha, there are only two on my last.fm page, and as far as I know I'll only visit those two ;-) Is it already official somewhere that LE will be support act, btw?!
And maybe you have also seen that I am preparing for the Amphi fest? :D
Well, 'I love' in Dutch is 'Ik hou van' -> 'houden van' is the infinitive, meaning 'to love'. We don't have a one-word verb meaning 'to love' or 'lieben' in German.. we know the verb 'liefhebben', but that word is used very rarely and sounds a bit outdated - but why do you want to know? :P
WHOAAH ICH BIN DABEI! Wenn dass möglich ist für mich.. Aber dass muss! I'd loooove to see Letzte Instanz, and I think Coppelius must be very nice too... I think I'll start planning a vacation in Köln during those days :D I'd like to meet you then!! :D
München war einfach super!! What a beautiful city, and I love all those Christmas market-things, the lights, wiii. We even did some iceskating there, just great <3. Pictures are coming :D
Oh nooo my dear that is really awful to hear! I feel sooo sorry for you! Now I'd better not tell you want I wanted to tell you, cause I don't want to be so happy of what happens to me while you simply can not go :( Ohhh really, if I could help you, I would! Ahhh *lots of hugs*
Janina! I feel so stupid, I have been thinking about you since saturday or something, that I have to wish you a lot of fun at the concert tonight, and today I forgot it until now :( I think I am too late but I had to let you know that I think of you tonight and that I really wish you fun!!! I'm sure you will have a great time. Let me know all your stories ;-). I am leaving for München tomorrow morning, but when I come back I have to tell you something great, too!
Yes I heard it was moved to a smaller venue! But that will be nice too I think, more cosy atmosphere? Sandra is very very good! Elis' sound was very bad in the first concerts I saw, but yesterday it was perfect, and then I discovered that she actually is a great singer :)
Thank you Janina! Yes she got her voice back (well, almost, when she talks it is still not perfect but she thinks it's enough haha)! I hope for you that she will come to the merchandise in Köln too :D I wish you so much fun already, all bands are just awesome!
PS She won't do Atrocity for the rest of the tour she told me, because then we'll have to wait longer to see her on stage XD
