My guitar-playing style could probably be seen as an amalgamation of the styles of the guitar players listed above.
I'm currently playing regularly with three bands: the jazz-rock-oriented Flat Five Society
, the blues/jazz-based Steel 'n Blues and the swing band The Western Toneflyers. Other bands I have been a member of in the past are Springhill Boys, Vintage Vibe, Elmer, Pint Off, Baby Doll Blues Band, Crishcraft, Novus and White Label. In the recent years, I have also had the pleasure to play and tour with the Master of the Telecaster, Redd Volkaert. I Wish, Birdland, All My Might, Liquid Sun, and Two-Timin' Lover are songs from my new CD, called "Steel Reflections" (see below for detailed information). Waltz for Elma was written and recorded during the summer of 2009 in celebration of the birth of our lovely baby daughter Elma Josefina. Joe Zawinul's Mercy, Mercy, Mercy was performed by my jazz-rock band Flat Five Society at Café KoM in May 2009. The minor blues Mean Little Woman was performed by the band Steel 'n Blues at the 2008 Åmål Blues Fest; the song was written by my friend Olle Bridal. The classic Box Tops hit The Letter was recorded by the band Vintage Vibe in 2005 as part of a demo CD; this is the first official recording with me playing the pedal steel guitar (a Sho-Bud D-10). Charles Mingus' wonderful tune Goodbye Porkpie Hat was recorded in 2007 using my blue Fulawka D-10 pedal steel guitar; the inspiration for this recording was the incredible rendition of the song by jazz steel guitar meister Rick Schmidt (available at the Steel Guitar Jazz web site).
