Jan Loechel is a singer/songwriter producer based in Muenster, Germany.
Starting with Rock/pop music in the early 90..s he discovered his interests in different musical genres over the years from acoustic pop to various electronic music styles.
From 2002 until now, Jan becomes one of the most demanded topline-writers in european club music while writing lyrics and vocal lines for artists such as ATB, 4 STRINGS, RANK 1, CJ STONE, BEATFREAKZ and many more. His songs enter the sales charts in all relevant territories and appear on countless compilations worldwide.
4 STRINGS..s "Take me away (into the night) is voted as "Best Progressive Trance Song" at the WMC in Miami 2003 , enters the Sing le Charts in UK @ 15 and becomes a Dance Classic all over the world until now. 3 artist albums by 4 STRINGS followed, co-written by Jan Loechel.
In 2004 he went back to his roots and co-writes the album "No Excuses" of the German band H-BLOCKX including the hit-single "Leave me alone" and "Celebrate Youth", besides developing new talent, together with his long-term partner Henning Wehland.
Together they co-produce the debut Album of german singer/songwriter POHLMANN including the hit-single "Wenn jetzt Sommer wär..". Furthermore austrian singer CHRISTINA STUERMER" cuts 2 of Jans songs for her german debut album "Schwarz Weiss" which achieves Double-Platinum-Status for more than 500.000 sold units in Germany.
2005 starts with a cooperation with DJ/Producer/Artist ATB for his album "7 Years" on which Jan appears as co-writer and leadsinger of the 1st single "Believe in me" which enters the charts in several countries worldwide.
In the following years Jan co-wrote two more ATB-Singles (Summer Rain and Feel Alive) and appeared on his artist album "Trilogy" in 2007. Furthermore Jan performed live on several "ATB in Concert" - episodes in Poland, Romania, Germany and Latvia in front of huge audiences.
In 2008 Jan, Rudee and Andre founded their new project JADES - combining their different musical backgrounds which entered into their first to be released track "Wrong Medication" (coming autumn 2008)
Besides that, Jan wrote and produced songs for movies such as "Bang Boom Bang", "Was nicht passt, wird passend gemacht", "Lauf um Dein Leben", or "Sommer" amongst the BAYER/Bepanthen TV-commercial and the TV-Series "SOS Tierbabies" (ZDF) and "Wildlife Nannies" (broadcasted in almost 20 countries) in 2007/2008.
He produced the REAMONN-Single "The only Ones" together with Andreas "Boogieman" Herbig worked with German singer SASHA and co-produced and co-wrote the H-BLOCKX album "Open letter to a friend" including the hit-single "Countdown to Insanity"
But especially working with ATB, inspired Jan to sing his own songs again, which he focussed on more and more. In July 2008, five songs with Jan on leadvocals are featured in the Top 40 German Dance Charts, including artists such as SUNLOVERZ, KLAAS or MICHA MOOR.
Furthermore Jan is part of the BLX MUSIC-Network - responsible for projects such as "IdeenSounds" (www.myspace.com/Ideensounds) and a lot of new interesting projects to be launched soon.
Whenever there is time and space left, he meets up with his friend Henning Wehland, to work on their project "LES SAUVIGNONS", a name we should better keep in mind, as there are exciting things to come in the near future.
