Born in Pictou County and living in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, MacKay is an artist who seamlessly blends storytelling and song. Her voice is rich, soulful and earthy; her lyrics honest and vulnerable. Her music, written in the moment and from the heart, has a spontaneous and natural quality – each song is a gem with unique chord progressions and unforgettable melodies. Her debut album Turn Into Song, recorded live at Sylvan Hall in Lochaber, features simple, beautiful arrangements of some of her most glowing work.
