In spring of 1994, Jan Michael suffered two large strokes from a very rare unknown genetic enzyme disorder prone to Native Americans and had blood clots pass through his brain and heart and cause bleeding in the lungs. As a result from the strokes, he was paralyzed on the entire left side of his body for nearly a year. He received a miraculous healing and recovered 100%. He instructs accredited courses of native flute and music at Oregon State University throughout the year, to date he has taught more than 2,500 people how to play the native flute..........The message in his music is loud and clear.......Equity for ALL people, regardless of color, heritage, gender, or race.
