Long before her hit single “Spend it” was broken across the nation by the legendary, hot 97s own, DJ Funk Master Flex; Jannine V was born with a love of music. Jannine Victoria, Jannine V for short, grew up as a daughter of queens. Jannine, Grew up listening and idolizing the legendary Madonna who would think that in her time as a singer/songwriter/producer she would be able to write music for the music Icon. Jannine has many other literary accredits including some of hip hop and pops finest. Dubbed "The Girl behind Your Favorite Song" by MegaTone Weekly in 2006, Jannine has been a force in this music industry for a long time
Known simply as "JV" to many, it was her remix to 50 Cent's "P.I.M.P" that gained rotation onto New York's Hot97 Funkmaster Flex & Fatman Scoop shows back in 2004. Who knew, that one remix would breathe air into a star in the making. Began performing as the opening act for the rapper Ludacris in 2004, Jannine V has gone on to hit the stage alongside Kid Capri, Mario, Rick Ross, Lloyd, Swizz Beatz, and DJ Scribble to name a few. As one of the first and only singers to release a series of mix tapes headlined by some of hip-hop's heavyweights - Jannine V's mix tape hosts include DJ Green Lantern, Big Mike, DJ Absolut, and two-time Grammy winner Fatman Scoop.
