Jan Seides' (pronounced Sigh-deez) songs combine down-home honesty with up-town sophistication, and have been described as Nanci Griffith and Joni Mitchell meet Broadway.
Her first CD, "Slowly But Surely", received widespread radio play. "Everyday People", released in 2002, has garnered glowing reviews, and frequent radio play. Jan's new project "Family Album" was released on March 24th, 2007.
She has won major awards in regional to national songwriting competitions. They include The Great American Song Contest, Mountain Stage NewSong Contest, Kerrville New Folk, (regional NewFolk winner), Metro Detroit Songwriting Contest and the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. In 2005, Jan was a finalist in the KRCL Founders Festival Songwriting competition in Utah. She was also a Judge's Award winner at MOVA (Mountain Valley Arts Council) Festival Songwriting Competition, and, most recently, was awarded First Prize at both the Dallas Songwriters Association Competition and the Austin Songwriters Group Competition. Jan was nominated for the prestigious B. IDEN PAYNE award for Outstanding Musical Director for Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah.
Venues played include: Bitter End (NYC), Bluebird Cafe (Nashville), Coffee Gallery Backstage (L.A.), and Artz Rib House (Austin, TX). Jan has shared stages with Jeff Talmadge, Alton Rex, Albert & Gage, David Llewellyn, Tim Grimm, and Buddy Mondlock.
Quote of the day: Listening to Jan was a trip! She is an incredibly talented woman with a beautiful voice. Her soul soothing voice along with her penetrating blue eyes will grab your heart. She sounds like a folk singer on Broadway, or a blues singer at the Opera...David Barnett, A CORE LIFE, Blog

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks
