    Jan Servaes (°1973) is een veelzijdige muzikant actief binnen uiteenlopende genres & projecten: van klassiek tot kleinkunst, van jazz tot metal.Hierbij staan creativiteit en muzikale communicatie steeds centraal. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Naast het podium is hij ook een veel gevraagd studiomuzikant/producer. Tussen alles door werkt hij graag aan eigen materiaal. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hij behaalde zowel een meestergraad klassiek slagwerk (oa. Carlo Willems) als een master in jazz (oa. Dré Pallemaerts). Hiernaast volgde hij masterclasses en workshops bij oa. Stephane Galland, Jeff Hamilton, Jim Chapin, Bill Stewart, … . - - - - - - - - - Huidige bands zijn o.a.: TriOrganics (GroovyJazz Hammond Trio), Roman Korolik Group (Modern Jazz Quartet), QLC (Hardbop Quartet/Quintet Lieven Cambré), Jan Nihoul Group (Jazz Vibraphone Quartet), Lazy SeXion (Lazy Funk Trio), Karma Police (Police Tribute), Mzungi (wereldmuziek, afrikaanse percussie groep) ... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Tot eind 2010 was hij op tournee door Vlaanderen met de productie "Meisjes", met Sofie Van Moll, Andrea Croonenberghs en Sabien Tiels. He sat down at his first set of drums at the age of two and a half and soon showed interest for all kinds of music... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - In 1995 he was asked to do a solo drums performance at the Paradiso Theater in Amsterdam for the International Tama Award organized by the "Slagwerkkrant". - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - He graduated in 2001 as a "Master in Music/Classical Percussion" at the Music Conservatory of Antwerp (B).
