Who I'd like to meet:

People with whom I may form a friendship of depth and quality. Where it leads from there...Let's see where we are led. In abstract thought...Albert Einstein, Tchaikovsky, Plato & Voltaire. William Penn, who wrote of my native people... “As to their Persons, they are generally tall, straight, and well-built. Most walk firmly and carefully, with their chins held high. Their Complexion is dark. . . Their eyes are little and black. They have faces not unlike Europeans. . . If a European comes to visit them . . .they give him the best place and first cut of meat. In Generosity they excel; nothing is too good for a friend. . . They are the most merry Creatures that live. They Feast and Dance almost perpetually. They never have much, nor want much. . . They believe in God and Immortality. . . They say there is a great King who made them . . .and that the Souls of the good shall go there where they shall live again. It is discouraging that they are the worse off for their contact with the Christians, who have encouraged their Vices and taught them to give up their Traditions for no good. . .” ~~~Although they knew what they believed, their spirituality was not based upon creeds. Instead, it could be summed up in five words: “Living with a good heart.” They were not disturbed if neighboring tribes had different opinions about religion. They were a woodland people and their beliefs were governed by their experiences in the woods and along the Great River, which we call the Delaware. Other tribes in other places had different life experiences and therefore different opinions. What mattered was LIVING WITH A GOOD HEART!~Aho~~~
