My life basically revolves around music and books and video games. My favorite video games are: Final Fantasy VII - Final Fantasy Tactics - Xenogears. I'm currently playing: Persona 4. And yes, you're right, I am a geek! Other interests include photography and art. Ansel Adams is a fantastic photographer and there are way too many great artists to list them all but I love Monet, Degas, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Bernini, Hopper, etc. For painting, I generally prefer the early Impressionists and the Romanticists along with the late Renaissance and the Classicists where as for sculpture and architecture, I absolutely adore the Baroque era and the late Gothic era. For current art, there is no beating Yoshitaka Amano. He's just absolutely amazing.

Books
I've read almost every book Stephen King has written (37 out of 45 ain't bad) and loved them all! However, I especially liked: The Dark Tower Series - The Talisman - Hearts In Atlantis - The Shining - The Stand - IT - Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption (Different Seasons) - Bag Of Bones - Desperation. And to add to the Stephen King geek-factor, I own all of his books in hardcover. Anyway, I've also read and enjoyed these books by authors other than Stephen King: The Razor's Edge by W. Somerset Maugham - Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham - The View From The Mirror by Ian Irvine - The Well of Echoes by Ian Irvine - The Dune Series by Frank Herbert - Lullyaby by Chuck Palahniuk - Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk - High Fidelity by Nick Hornby - Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner - The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien - Zimiamvia: A Trilogy by E. R. Eddison - The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger - Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice - 1984 by George Orwell - House Of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski - The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho - The Los Angeles Diaries by James Brown - Our Band Could Be Your Life by Michael Azerrad. Also, anything by H.P. Lovecraft is great, my favorite (or perhaps I should say "favourite" since as we all know, Mr. Lovecraft was quite the anglophile) short stories of his include: The Rats In The Walls - The Shadow Out Of Time - The Doom That Came to Sarnath - The Nameless City - The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath - The Dreams in the Witch-House.

Patrick Something bad is gonna happen so if you wanna fuck shit up well mother fucker come on! FTX Posted at 12:36 AM Jun 22 view more
About me: First off, and perhaps most importantly, I feel it is necessary to introduce myself. My name is Patrick. I am 24 (24?! damn I'm old . . . ) years old and I live just outside of San Diego California. Then again, you could have found all of that out just by looking at all the information next to that picture of me in the upper left hand corner of my page. But, introduction must be made, and if I feel I need to repeat information found on parts of my page here, then so be it. By the way, everyone here in San Diego has heard the "whale's vagina" joke a million times. If you're gonna quote Anchorman, at least quote something funny like "I love lamp." Anyway, I play guitar in a band called Pensive. If you're wondering what we sound like, well, its hard to describe but I believe the best description would have to be "a mix between Cradle of Filth and Ashley Simpson." And yes, I am joking. I'm a very sarcastic young man and I like to mess with people's heads. Anyway, if you really wanna know what we sound like, click the banner at the end of this section and check us out for yourself, gosh! I am a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan and now that they're back together nothing is gonna stop me from seeing them live again. I also like a ton of other bands, but hey, just look at my music section to find out for yourself. Come on, I'm not gonna do all the work for you! I am a huge geek/nerd/whatever. I collect Stephen King books (I've got all of his novels in hardcover and I think about 75% are first edition). I read a lot. I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan and a huge Star Wars fan (and I don't care what you say, The Empire Strikes Back is the best out of the series). I am also an avid video gamer and yes, the rumors are true, I do work at GameStop. Personally, I'm more about the old school RPGs (well, not necesarrily old school to everyone, but old school to most people out there I would say). Ahh, the 97-98 season was the golden age of video games. Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Xenogears, my top 3 favorite games ever, all came out within that period as well as other legendary games such as Goldeneye, Castlevania:Symphony of the Night, Resident Evil 2, Metal Gear Solid, and The Legend of Zelda:Ocarina of Time. (See, I told you I was a geek!!) If you ever want to put your gaming skills to the test, you might be able to find me on Xbox Live. My Gamertag is JanuaryEmbers19. Don't worry, though, for as must as I love video games, I kinda suck . . . You're probably thinking to yourself right now that I must be a huge loser and ya know what? You're right. I am a loser. Deal with it. I'm actually also a big art fan. I took an Art History class a while ago and even though I've forgotten a lot of stuff, that doesn't mean I've lost my love for art. Baroque sculpture and architecture is just breath-taking. As for painting, like most, I have a soft spot for Monet. Ansel Adams is also truely amazing, and his Yosemite series is absolutely awe-inspiriring. If I ever become un-lazy, I might one day persue writing more seriously, but until then, it will just be a hooby I suppose. I wrote a lot of stuff for a creative writing class I took last year so if you wanna read a sample, let me know and I'll hook you up. Aside from playing guitar, I have also taken up piano again and even though I know very little, that doesn't stop my from enjoying it emensely. Back in the day, I also used to be a photography addict and am now finally get back into the swing of things. I hope to be posting many pictures in the coming months. I am also frighteningly interessed in mythology, especially Greek and Norse mythology. Though to be honest, I'm really just a sucker for a great story. Topics such as philosophy, pschyology, and religion interest me greatly though I must admit I'm not very knowledge in any of those areas. Anyway, I re-wrote this with the simple goal in mind of condensing all the information to make it more accesible but I think I've done the exact opposite. Oh well. I doubt anyone has actually read this far.
The End
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who is capable of carrying on a good conversation. (I love to debate things, I think its genetic) Anyone who has an appreciation for art, music, or books. I love recomendations for new things, so if there's a book you think I should read, a band I should listen to, or an artist I should check out, let me know. Any other fellow geeks/nerds/video gamers. Anyone nice and kind and caring who won't make fun of me for being a geek/nerd/whatever.
