Whats just been?
Elbow Rooms-Form. Oh yes its the day after the night before. The Fish loved the line up so much, everybody killed it! Massive thanks to Project Go, Rebel Yell and Kath Edmonds for just being brilliant :) A really nice turn out as well cheers for coming down everyone, really nice to see some new faces with definate fish in there bones xx Mr Simpson Mr Sonndman and Mr DJ and Mr Nelson we salute you.
22nd and 23rd October...London-Leeds Baby
Ah after a 6 hour drive down, two burger kings for 8 quid each from the dam service stations, we arrive to what can only be described as a Bar/Club of true wonderment..The Cresent..3 Million pound they said was the price for a venue as shiney, it looked amazing. We were given the full treatment by Paul and Cat from Lyberty for all and the team..we were well looked after and the Fish are very greatful for this. A great gig with The Savants, who are mind blowing their music has loads of Character and they dont half 'have it' on stage. We really enjoyed our set the venue was packed out and some good people were met...well happy. After the gig we went back to our hotel only to end up being searched and held up by the old Bill for disturbing the peace...In london this is 'talking quietly outside your hotel having a cig because we cant smoke inside...it comes under act 24 paragraph six 'if one has nothing better to do pester the general public for no apparent reason :)' good use of your time Mr officers :))). Anyways many giggles were had and a great night all around. In the morning after drinking dry the Ryder dry...we awoke with broken minds and we ended driving home for 8 hours in a rush to play again at the Carpe Diem...At this point the Fish would like to thank the Melve for being a warrior and a saint for Driving us down and keeping us in order THANK YOU.
Carpe Diem was bloody great really busy in there thanks to Simons big efforts with promotion..we ended up having a total release of a gig and went a little crazy....so satifying sometimes :) great sets from all the bands playing and a well run night thanks for having us.
19th Sept:The Primrose was bloody amazing the Fish love that place, thanks to everyone for coming down.Cheers to Doc, Felix, Si lynne and Mr Bar man. We are still buzzin today about it. New material made it for us we love the New Songs, Big sets from Soul Circus, The Yalla Yallas, Boycott and The Plague Doctors...
Japanese Fighting Fish: 3 fisherman sold their trawler bought new gear and made a band.
After a ten year spell in the wilderness we all crossed paths one scorching day outside Josephs well. Karlost was auditioning for another band. Paul and Steve left the meeting wondering whether he would pull through… Living in Hyde Park a little too long had taken its toll, days were nights and nights day.
At first practice (in the old chapel) Paul and Ste had an instant connection, filling out tracks that had only ever been played on an acoustic. It was agreed, there was something there…we need a name???????? Darren from the chapel walks in ….’you should be called Japanese Fighting Fish’….and so it began.

Japanese Fighting Fish are getting prepared for our single release THE FISH would like thank Mat White for his amazing help, time and persistance with the pre production:) Thanks to Uncle Russ for his support . The E.P is finished big thanks to MR Andy Hawkins it was a pleasure to work with him and the result is far beyond our expectations..
Our new Single will be released (confirmed date will be up soon) on Sound People Records. Good times.
