The fourth album following 2005’s ‘Head over Heels’ was recorded in part at Second World Studios in Nagambie with Adam Donovan (Augie March), and in part at Sound Vault with the band’s own producer extraordinaire Michael Alonso who has worked with Spiderbait, Magic Dirt and Gaslight Radio.
Included for the first time is a lyric sheet illuminating the wide range of topics covered by the various songwriters who share influences such as writers Fyodor Dostoyevsky and Franz Kafka. Musically, late 60’s era Rolling Stones for their groove factor, Big Star for songwriting and a dash of Pavement are heavy influences throughout.
‘Super Friday’ is sometimes sparse, layered and laid back grooves, sometimes punchy, in your face rock, Jape Squad style.
