It's Nov 1, I got a story idea, some caffeine, an open word document, and sunglasses for some inexplicable reason. Hit it. #nanowrimoPosted at 5:51 PM Nov 1 from Twitter view more

  • Books

See my Goodreads app for specifics, since I have a LOT of favorites, but I tend to go for the classics, crime, and science fiction.
  • Heroes

BATMAN -- As you can guess from my background, I'm still a fan. Practically the first super-hero I ever saw.

HUNTER S. THOMPSON: The crazed gonzo journalist has inspired both my means of profession and the way I write. Savage, hilarious, the kind of writing that grabs you by the balls and drags you across the freeway whilst loving every second of it. He's also probably the most brilliant political analyst ever to have lived. Rest in peace, brother.

About me:

Jared Kardos' Facebook profile

I am known by many names. Some friends from high school call me "J-Rod," others call me "Who the fuck is that?" The common name that I prefer is Jared.

I am an aspiring writer, artist, actor, and journalist. As you can see I'm still in the phase kids are in where they want to be a firefighter, an astronaut, rock star and dinosaur hunter at the same time. I'm still holding out on the dinosaur hunter part, though.

I'm what one might call an opinionated bastard. I respect people's opinions and views, but I still have my views and such. I'm what Thompson called a "political junkie." It's very interesting--it's like a freak show with people in suits kissing babies.

I have a severe and possibly obsessive love for movies, books, and comics. There's nothing better than seeing a billiant movie or book or comic that keeps me enraptured in their world for a few hours. I love (and write and create) in almost all genres and all types, just as long as they can entertain me.

I think that's enough here. If you want to know more, you can always use that messaging feature on this lovely site. :)

Who I'd like to meet:

People whom I share interests with--or at least people who can respect them.

Basically, if you're wierd and crazy like me. I want to meet you. :D
