Born into a musical family, Jared was one of those church kids. You could find him at service every Wednesday, Sunday morning and Sunday night. "I grew up around music. It was always there. Whether it was watching my father sing on praise team, my mother singing at church conventions, or my brother traveling around Cleveland with his hip-hop group. I couldnt escape it." Jared got his first taste singing Jesus Loves Me in front of his church congregation at the age of 5. "I got up there, started singing and burst into laughter in front of the whole church. The feeling I first got was the most giddy, wonderful high I had ever felt. From then on, that was it for me." At the age of 14, Jared had the opportunity to join the Applause International Modeling and Talent Agency. He entered in the Millie Lewis AMTC (American Modeling & Talent Convention) where he won 3rd place photography and honorable mentions in both the runway and commercial competitions for his age group. "I loved going to Florida for that. It gave me an idea of the entertainment industry at such a young age. I had interest from both Ford Models and Elite Model Management but I just wasnt ready for that. And I dont think I was interested in the modeling aspect of entertainment. All that rejection at a young age was too harsh. I needed a thicker skin before I could even think about becoming a model." In 2004, 3 years after graduating from high school, Jared decided to enter the AMTC again. This time around, Jared received 1st place runway and photography for his age group. Also, he became the 2004 Overall Teen/Adult singer. "It was time to sing in that competition. I needed to show people what I could do." He received interest from Elite Models, New York Model Management. Along with Jaynie Jackson of Chayil Entertainment, Ted Brunson of Weissman Brunson Management, and ASCAPs Ian Burke. Shortly after the AMTC, Jared went to Los Angeles CA to audition for the Broadway musical Good Vibrations. He made it through all but the last audition. "I would say thats a pretty good thing for someone on their first big audition. I loved the opportunity. And, hey, the show didnt even last but a few months." With quite a few songs under his belt, Jared hopes to be recording soon. And, with any luck, in a few years Jared will be listed among the greats in music history. Or at least somewhere near that list. Possibly on another list, thats maybe posted by that list. "I just want to be able to live, breathe, and eat music. Thats all I ask for. Thats all Ill ever need."
