Dark country music and murder ballads. Hardcore/punk done to country music.
Jared Thomas Lord is a one-man band, specializing in a mixture of Americana roots music and punk rock. After years of playing in bands, ranging from electric blues to hardcore-punk, a self-imposed exile from performing took place. During this time, the country roots came through and new music was written and recorded. This return to Americana roots is a shot in the war against tired old cliché rock and roll. It is an attempt at stepping back to the days of old, delving into the dark corners of life, seeped with murder, depression, grief, and drink, rather than another song about how rock n roll is going to save my soul tonight, or some other such nonsense. Let's stop writing the same songs for the 45th time, and tell some stories, have some beers, and enjoy some music, shall we?
