Bio
....“Cherner’s music tells a story.” (Cadence Magazine).. .. “A lyrical player who sounds thoughtful even when playing an uptempo piece, Jarrett Cherner clearly has a bright future… his interplay with his trio finds the three musicians often seeming to think as one.” (Scott Yanow, LA Jazz Scene)........ Human physiology does not direct all of its own functions; it is interdependent. It must be steadied by the physical presence of another. This is necessary for both physical and emotional health. In many ways, humans cannot be stable on their own—they require another to survive.
If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself alone. A man should keep his friendships in constant repair.
But whether it be dream or truth, to do well is what matters. If it be truth, for truth's sake. If not, then to gain friends for the time when we awaken.
--Pedro Calderon de la Barca

Jarrett Cherner Trio,

Thank you for being my friend. My page and website are dedicated to reviews of new music of every description. I hope you may find something you like there. The top image of every review is linked to the band, composer, or musician. Please feel free to send me an email or make a comment on a review.
The image below is linked to the latest review of Holdsworth Pasqua Haslip Wackerman's "Blues for Tony." That's a good place to start. The reviews on my site have been generally described as "something different."
