"(Music) is just a release of all that stuff inside you that's trying to kill you. You know, I think just — life is so difficult. The thing I love about music is that you can take things that are painful, deep things that hurt you, and you can turn them into something beautiful." - Ray Lamontagne
"Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet." - Bob Dylan
"One good thing about music: When it hits you, you feel no pain." - Bob Marley
"Music should strike fire from the heart of man, and bring tears from the eyes of woman.” - Ludwig Van Beethoven
A passion for songwriting was forged somewhere between a funeral for a friend on Valentine's Day and a broken relationship sometime later. Jarrod Brogdon writes with his heart on his sleeve and a poetic means to bring balance to life. He scribes his life stories into memorable melodies that blend folk, blues, and Americana for his own brand of Whisper Rock.
A soft-spoken troubador, his lyrics speak volumes about his experiences and connects with the listener on the most intimate of levels.
Hey! I wanted to let you know that I just posted two new songs from my debut album "Like I'm Beautiful" which comes out in March. I hope you'll check out the music and look for the album when it is released next month :)
Hey Jarrod! I just listened to the new song you posted. I liked the song from when you had it posted before, but this version turned out really well. I think I would like the song no matter what the accompaniment was. I am not sure if it's just my pregnant lady hormones getting the best of me, but I cried when I listened to it.
So, what's the update on the album? I hope things are going well now that you are back in V-town.
hey - how are you? got a new song up that i wanted you to hear called "always". listen to it on my profile, and if you like it, put the song up on your page, or buy it on itunes!
Just letting you know that our EP “Or Am I A Nightmare?” is up and available for purchase online at CDbaby, Amazon, iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and many of your other favorite internet music stores! Check it out and let us know what you think!
I love visiting Nashville. I have a great time everytime I go. Things are going good on my end. Emma will be turning 5 next week, and I am still doing the stay at home mom thing. Ike is staying so busy as work these days that he is just pooped when he comes home.
I am glad to hear things are going well with the album. I know it will be awesome for you to finally have it finished. What an accomplishment. I can't wait to see the finished product. Have a great week!
I just saw your status about being in Valdosta on the 4th of July. It seems like everytime you make it to town, I am headed out of town. I will be in Nasvhille, TN visiting my sis for the 4th...maybe I can catch you next time. How is the album coming?
