Thank you for coming to the show at The Cooler! If you're interested in seeing us again, we'll be arranging another gig in September, and should have some better recordings up on the myspace, and new songs.
Järvi (Finnish - Lake). A collection of 3 friends who have a long musical history playing for various bands. Fed up of trying to 'make it', they concentrated on writing and recording music to their own tastes, taking inspiration from the edginess and dynamics of Mogwai, the atmospheric melodies of Sigur Ros and raw emotion of Pink Floyd. The result is unconventional, completely new and yet powerful, flowing and melodic. The instrumental songs flow into each other like symphonies, experimenting with every genre, style and effect along the way. The band also gigs with a mini-orchestra, consisting of Sian Pearson and Dom Elias, playing Trumpet, Synth, Trombone and Viola!
Gigging will resume in September, and recordings will be up soon.
