Sounds Like
sonic folk for the eternal mind, altocumulus clouds in an open sky at the end of the only day i've lived. this is the sound of my softest oldest thinnist cotton tshirt caressing my skin.
Jasmine Monique Guffond is a celebrated Australian electronics musician who relocated to Berlin from Sydney in 2003 with her band MINIT (duo with Torben Tilly). Over the last 10 years Jasmine has been recording and performing with Minit, exhibiting sound installations, developing works of varied scope based on the use of processed acoustic, electronic, and found sound sources.
Equally interested in song, composition and free, improvised music, as Jasmina Maschina she began recording songs in her myriad of Berlin homes producing her debut solo album, 'The Demolitions Series' in 2008. Inspired by an endless list of recorded music, the australian underground music scene including those that wandered over from NZ, her new life in Berlin, chance encounters, art, poetry, film, concerts, jams........
Jasmina Maschina is currently finishing new music for a split LP release with Golden Diskó Ship due for release on Monika Enterprise in spring 2010.

"Like the man who awoke to find himself drowning in a river, you may
roam the dark with 4 million other somnambulists - and never know it.
One soldier, after one of these attacks, he revealed that he had been
dreaming about trying to plow a field with a balky mule. ‘That mule
made me so darn mad I socked it,' he said. When he awoke, he found that
he had hit his wife in the face and broken her eardrum. His lawyer
successfully defended him by arguing that no one could be held
accountable for acts committed in his sleep. Why doesn’t he, like the
rest of us, lie quietly and work out the worries of his subconscious in
dreams of action, instead of acting out his dreams?"
'Strange facts about sleepwalking', in Mechanix Illustrated (Mar, 1949)
