| General | Trombone, Toastmasters, Knights of Columbus, items young boys are interested in so that I can keep up with my kids, my wife, hiking, hashing (I am a Hash House Harrier - a drinking club with a running problem). I'm also a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians. But, I am funny! Honest! | | Music | Lets see, start in the early 1900's with band marches, goto Bing, Frank, Dino, and Sammy - add some familar names along the way like Robert Preston, Jimmy Durante, Louie Armstrong...then somehow spend a lot of time on the Beatles, move into the 70's hard rock (and cheese love music) and then nearly all 80's until today. I don't like rap, or most country, or soime heavier metal stuff. Otherwise, I appreciate everything. But, give me a classical ensemble piece anyday. My favorite all time songs are Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings and Leonard Berstein's Make our Garden Grow. | | Movies | Being a male from the late 70's/early 80's, I am addicted to Star Wars, and was addicted to the Lord of the Rings far before the idea of it being a movie came about. But, that was a kick ass movie. I also am very much into comedy, but not most of Ben Stiller's stuff. To me, he comes across as being full of himself. And, I think Keanu Reeves can ruin any good movie they put his name on. | | Television | Does Noggin count? 2 Year olds tend to watch shows there - like Oobi, which is a hand puppet - I mean a "hand" puppet - but my kid can't get enough. | | Books | My books lately are mostly being a better leader, working on my visionary skills - I have always had vision, just not always the skills to express them. I used to think that was going to make be a band conductor, but those same skills are what makes successful people in business as well. Who knew?
