About Jason Stuart

Weaving his classical training with a rock/r&b sensibility, Jason creates a sound that is at once raucous and feral, while also tender and introspective. Combining "the soulful thump" of his solo acoustic upright bass with a "funky, agile tenor" (Dallas Morning News), Jason covers songs from the likes of Nirvana, Peggy Lee, Gordon Lightfoot, John Coltrane, Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Hendrix, Radiohead, U2, the occasional Police...and the list goes on...as well as performing his own material from his upcoming musical drama "Busker."
