I have been DJing since '94 and co-founded Blackkat in New York in '96..... Blackkat was born out of the L.E.S. squat/pirate radio/autonomous zone culture, specifically at 5th Street Squat (long since demolished), and has since been either on the road or based mainly in Brooklyn. I have spent a lot of time in the past decade touring with sound from and members of crews like SPAZ (SF), Spiral Tribe (UK), Bedlam (UK), RatStar (SF), Havoc (SF), Negusa Negast (UK), LabRats (AUS), 5lowershop (SF), Renegade Virus (NYC), Oms Not Bombs (AUS), SDC (Houston), ALT.MTL (Montreal), Pirate Audio (OKC), Dekked (UK), Neurotik (Montreal/ France), K-Ktus (France/US), and too many others----- In NYC we are linked with Brooklyn warehouse multi-overload event crews like The Danger/Complacent, Rubulad, Madagascar Institute, Nine90, and so many others big and small....we have thrown big parties, small parties, free parties, $10 parties, protest parties, parade parties....we have DJs, livesets, bands, circus shows, magicians, beatboxers, performance dancers, acrobats, fire breathers, tekhead brainiaks, projection artists, roving MCs, live painters, live poultry, noise installers...... I played with noisy punkjazzpop? soundmakers God is My Co-Pilot for a few tours (on bass) , and currently play bass with CX Kidtronik.....currently based in Bushwick Brooklyn (aka the "Town in the Woods")...someday I hope to have chickens and a goat, hopefully some sheep too....
