About me:
"Of all forms of caution, caution in love is perhaps most fatal to true happiness. - Bertrand Russell
ESSE QUAM VIDERI - to be rather than to seem - Cicero
"don't ask yourself what the world needs. ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive" - gil bailie
"two roads diverged in a wood and I, I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference" - robert frost
"The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become".
I've been down the dark roads in the dead of night that have no light shining on them, no light to lead the way, fumbling, grasping to find out who it is that I really am and who I will become. And then, a glimmer of hope in the distance, a light no bigger than a candle that seems 1,000 miles away. I am running now, sprinting, chasing, reaching for dear life for this light. As I get closer, it gets all the bigger, turning from the faint amber to a more golden hue the size of a light bulb, till I can no longer see for the magnificent and marvelous, overpowering and blinding light that shines forth. The light captures me and my soul is filled with the splendor of the light. This light is THE LIGHT, the light of the world, the light to the dark places that permeates every cell and atom of my being. The darkness and confusion, the unknown and frustration, they have ceased. I have found myself. I have found myself in Christ. There is no life outside of Him, only existence, mere existence. The existence that chases vain ambitions and the faux-life that the world says is reality. May I forever be held enchanted and captivated by the glorious LIGHT and LIFE of Christ. May all of my vain ambitions and dreams crumble and shatter at the feet of the one who gave His life for me. This world has nothing for me. This is who I am.
I have met my wife. Kayla and I are getting married December 19, 2008. Everything that I've prayed for and dreamed of, she takes it to another level. Kayla is beyond what I had even thought I wanted in a soulmate. Her passion for God increases my passion for God as well. She understands who I am and reveals things about me that I never knew. People say that opposites attract, but it is truly remarkable how much alike we are. We have the same heartbeat and passions in life, the same goals and dreams. God did a miracle in bringing us together. We are absolutely perfect for one another and I love every moment I spend with her. She is the missing piece to the puzzle that I have tried to finish. Christ gave me the piece to put in. She is my answered prayer.
