In Nashville’s historic Printer’s Alley, the sounds of a bluesy Otis Redding tune float out of the Fiddle & Steel Guitar Bar, sung by a voice so soulful and expressive that Otis himself would be proud. If you walked into the bar, you’d see a lone singer sitting on a stool on stage, lost in the song he is singing and the well-worn acoustic guitar he is playing.
If you look long enough, you might realize this expressive singer is one and the same as the guitar slinger you saw last night down on Nashville’s famous Broadway strip, effortlessly entertaining a packed dance floor with a rocked out Allman Brothers tune.
Music is not in Jason Bozik’s blood – it IS the blood that feeds his passion, creativity, and his lifelong calling. Before even graduating high school in South Georgia, Jason had already hit the road with his first touring band – rundown bus, local musician friends and big dreams in tow. Since then, his musical path has led him through years of experience and the opportunity to share the stage or play in bands opening for artists such as Vince Gill, George Jones, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Wynona Judd, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Blackhawk, TG Shepherd, Marshall Tucker Band, Andy Griggs, Percy Sledge, and Clarence Carter.
Jason left Georgia and made the move to Nashville in 2005 to further pursue his music career. After years of playing and singing in various bands, he embarked on a project of his own - fronting the Jason Bozik Band – to deliver his own brand of southern rock and country music. In addition to performing hit songs from some of his favorite artists like Warren Haynes, The Eagles, Diamond Rio, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jason also writes and performs his own original music. He is currently working on writing and recording an EP and began touring in late 2009 in support of the new project.
Far from simply a stage performer, Jason has an experienced ear for live sound and an instinct for knowing how to reach any given audience. These talents only add to the powerful vocals and solid guitar skills that set Jason apart. He combines the duties of lead singer, lead guitar player, and entertainer into one powerful package that will capture any listener’s attention.
