Raised in Clifton, VA, Jason Charles Miller spent many childhood weekends scouring for bullets and artifacts in nearby Manassas, VA, the sight of the historic Civil War Battles of Bull Run. An integral railway crossing, Manassas served the same purpose for the Union and Confederacy that it did for Miller - laying tracks to the North, South and West. Now, after more than a decade as frontman of an internationally acclaimed and touring rock band, Jason Charles Miller is rediscovering his past as he moves boldly into his future as a solo artist, exploring his roots, stripping his music to its core, and paying homage to the artists that touch his life and the art that shapes his soul. Miller relocated to Los Angeles a decade ago, where he owns a recording studio and thrives as a recording artist, writer and producer, voiceover artist and actor – but living in the shadows of Hollywood has truly made his southern disposition shine. Splitting his time between Los Angeles and Nashville, Miller's love for country, folk, Americana and blues has intensified, as has the influence of those that have defined his roots as a singer, songwriter and performer: Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Kris Kristofferson, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles…. His first solo recording was "You Get What You Pay For," and it struck a big chord, being featured in HBO's hit series True Blood and including guest appearances from acting friends Felicia Day [The Guild] and Greg Grunberg [Lost, Heroes, Felicity] in its do-it-yourself video. Miller's music was also featured in the pilot of the HBO series Hung, and he was asked by Bret Michaels to remix the Rock of Love theme song for his Custom Made solo album, which also featured appearances by Miley Cyrus, Chris Cagle, Mark Wills and Brad Arnold. He can currently be heard on the WWE Smackdown theme "Hangman," which he co-wrote with the band Rev Theory. Miller has been singing and acting since the age of five, and signed his first recording contract while a student at George Mason University. His industry and media presence has been growing ever since - he's been featured in international magazines including Rolling Stone, Billboard and Guitar World, on television networks MTV, MTV2, VH1 and Fuse, and can be seen and heard in dozens of movies, television shows, commercials and video games. -
