Hey guys, this is a page for my solo album that I will be recording this year. I'm the singer of Godhead, but as you'll soon be able to tell by listening to this music, this is a big departure for me.
Growing up, I always loved "roots rock" artists like Fleetwood Mac, and singer/songwriters like James Taylor and Neil Young (my dad used to sing James Taylor songs to me when I was a toddler to help me go to sleep). One of the things I've always loved to do my entire life was just sit around and sing with an acoustic guitar. I'm a true believer that if a song doesn't sound good with just a singer and a guitar, then it's probably not a very good song.
That's the philosophy behind my solo album. I want to present new songs with minimal instrumentation and just let the audience hear them in their purest form.
If you are a Godhead fan for our hard beats, heavy riffs and industrial programming, you may find this material a bit challenging. But that’s okay, because if you’re a Godhead fan, you probably appreciate music that is challenging and a bit left of center. If you are a fan of my vocal lines, lyrics and melodies, I think you are going to really enjoy what you hear. Either way, please remember, this new music is still VERY much ME.
Why am I using my full name? There are too many Jason Millers out there! I appear to be the only Jason Charles Miller in the entertainment business (so far) so I'm laying my claim on my birth name!
