Look, we make original music from the heart. We out everything into our music, and as people, on a basic level, we are more driven to be friends that sell ourselves to the music industry. We have patience, mindfulness, and we care about each other and the people that enjoy our music. Musketeer Gripweed is unlike any other band, because our friendships and fun are the most important things we seek.....and the music happens because of this.....but here's more fo' ya iffin' ya want! Peace!............................................................................
Unmatched Performance Energy, Gutbucket Soul, and an old school/organic songwriting approach continues to propel Jason Downing & Musketeer Gripweed into the hearts and minds of musicians and fans. JD&MG are based along Colorados Front Range, and have played over 500 shows across the country, including having the honor of opening BOTH days for Buddy Guy and Taj Mahal at the 2006 Pindale Blues festival!
The band has passed out over 25,000 CDs for free and pocket change, as part of their Platinum for Pocket Change drive to have the bands music and message reach as many people as possible! This has hastened the growth of the JD&MG fan base, as well as increased sales of their first CD, Peace Will Win, which is reminiscent of a soulful mix between the Allman Brothers, Bob Dylan& The Band, with the soul of Joe Cocker and Bill Withers. Heavy with Hammond organ, smokin harmonica, slide guitar, and loaded with the energy of nationally recognized vocalist and songwriter, Jason Downing; the band makes for an incredible live experience.
JD&MG have a passion for sharing their music, soul, and positive vibes with a large and diverse population of people. They also have integrity and a kind attitude that has given them the professional reputation of being very easy to work with, and that always gets them invited back!
We are looking forward to sharing our music with you soon!
and remember, Peace Will Win!

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
