Born October 5, 1980 in Nashville, TN, singer & songwriter Jason Edward Krenson spent his early years magnetized by music. Striving to find expression of his innermost creativity, he studied voice throughout his early years, defining his natural, free-flowing vocal style. At the same time, he demonstrated highly creative gifts through sculpting, painting, and other genres, receiving numerous awards for his fine arts as a teen. Based on his accomplishments, he was accepted into the O’More College of Design where he earned his degree in Visual Communications. But he was always drawn back to music… and was never sure why. As a family story unfolded, answers came, too. At age 12, Krenson briefly learned of his roots in the musically talented Dinning family, including MGM recording artists Mark Dinning (Teen Angel, 1, 1960), the 1940s Capitol Records vocal trio, The Dinning Sisters (Buttons and Bows), and Dean Dinning (bassist in the band, Toad the Wet Sprocket). The discovery sparked an ache to re-connect with the Dinning side of his father’s family line. Unable to let go, at age 19, Krenson spent a year of his life relentlessly searching, until he finally located Dolores Dinning Edgen. The deeply gratifying reunion with Dinning family members that followed filled in missing chapters from Krenson’s life and strengthened his resolve as artist and performer. A pop musician with performance experience in multiple genres, Krenson has emerged with his own style, both soulful and playful, relating many of his most powerful experiences as a young adult. Through his music, he delivers hope and inspiration with original lyrics and bright, resonant vocals. For those who have already heard him perform, Jason Krenson’s debut EP, produced with Tony Schueller of Anton Music Productions in Milwaukee, is a long-awaited gem.
