The style of Jason LaPorte Music is ever-changing! At the end of the spring 2006 college semester Jason dabbled around a few shows at Howards Club H in Bowling Green, OH and enjoyed performing solo with acoustic guitar as a singer/ songwriter. During the summer of 2006 he performed a weekly gig at Maxwells Brew next to the The University of Toledo which opened up opportunities for more gigs in various bars and clubs in the northern Ohio area. Jason is proud to have had the opportunity to share the stage with some stellar acts such as Tim Reynolds, The Macpodz, Alex Winston, Jason Reeves, Chavar Dontae, ekoostik hookah, Katz-n-jammers, The Silent Years, The Ashes and many others. Jason was voted runner up in the Solo/duo category for the Toledo City Paper's Best of Toledo, OH 2007 and made it to the finals for the Toledo Blade Battle of the Bands Solo/duo category. He has been able to travel some as well to places such as Cleveland, OH, Erie, PA, and now to Austin, TX where Jason received a very warm response. With 2008 formed The Jason LaPorte Trio, the electric rock side of Jason, and the recording of a demo CD during Jason’s last year at the University of Toledo in 2008.
