Bio:
Jason Mitchell is a singer/songwriter who grew up in White Rock and now resides in Vancouver. His debut CD, "The World is Flat" was released in May 2000 by Warner Music Canada followed by the independent releases of “Little Coma” and “Live At Rock Beach” . The CD’s were well received and have been heard on radio stations and satellite networks in both Canada and the United States. From the CD release of “The World Is Flat” came an extensive tour schedule across Canada in which Jason’s true joy and passion for his music and performing live was shared with many audiences. Jason has opened for "Blue Rodeo" in both Montreal and Toronto, as well as for the "Cowboy Junkies" at the Tulip Festival in Ottawa and 54/40 in B.C.. From the independent release of the Album “Little Coma”, came the single “Wish I could Save You” which charted top 30 in Canada. Other shows of interest have included; Toronto Street Festival, Much Music Interview, Winnipeg Westend Cultural Center, Myer Horowitz Theater (Edmonton), University College of the Caribou (Kamloops), Vancouver East Cultural Center, Coast Capital Theatre, Chapters bookstores across Canada, Virgin Records Megastore (Vancouver), A&B Sound (Kelowna & Victoria), Liberty Lounge (Calgary), Holy Joes (Toronto), Side Track Café (Edmonton) and the Railway Club in Vancouver. Jason also released two music videos which were played on Much Music and Much More Music. Jason has also performed live on Canada AM, the CFMI Morning Show with Brother Jake, Urban Rush TV Show, Breakfast Television and was recently featured on CBC's "North by Northwest". Three of his songs were also chosen for the soundtrack of a C.T.V. production called, "The Stolen Miracle". The magic and honesty of Jasons music occurs on stage with his energetic live performance. Jason mixes an acoustic bare-bones approach to his songs with a fuller meatier sound. He has a unique ability to quell the rooms chatter, captivating his audience with his dynamic voice and outgoing stage presence. Currently Jason Mitchell is working on his 4th Album “The Indeciduous” and is due out the Summer. ..Members:
