ORIGINALLY FROM QUEENS NY, JASONS PASSION FOR MUSIC BEGAN AT AGE 13. MUSIC PIONEERS SUCH AS FUNK MASTER FLEXFLEX, DJ RED ALERT, AND KID CAPRI WERE HUGE INFLUENCES IN HIS DJ CAREER. HE BEGAN BY SPINNING HIP-HOP IN NY, MOVED TO FLORIDA, AND DEVELOPED A PASSION FOR ELECTRONIC MUSIC. BY 19 JASON WAS LIVING IN TAMPA AND EMERGED INTO THE SCENE AS A PROFESSIONAL DJ. HE CURRENTLY LIVING IN MIAMI AND HOLDS RESIDENCY AT THE SAGAMORE ON SOUTH BEACH, AND AT "FLOYDS" LOCATED AT THE HARD ROCK HOTEL AND CASINO BI - MONTHLY IN TAMPA. JASON HAS ESTABLISHED A NAME FOR HIMSELF BY PLAYING ALONGSIDE TOP DJS SUCH AS BT, CARL COX, JOSH WINK, FERRY CORSTEN, BILL HAMEL, DERRICK CARTER, OSCAR G, IVANNO BELLINI AND DJ ICEY JUST TO NAME A FEW. HE HAS EXPANDED HIS MUSIC AND PLAYED IN NEW YORK, MIAMI, VEGAS, THE CAROLINAS, AND NEW ORLEANS, WITH UPCOMING EVENTS IN THE FUTURE. JASONS INTERGRATED STYLES AND SOPHISTICATED FUNK IS REFLECTED ON COUNTLESS MIXED CDS. HE HAS MASTERED THE RHYTHMS OF HOUSE, BREAKS AND TRANCE AND IS CURRENTLY DEVELOPING ORIGINAL MUSIC IN HIS STUDIO. WEEK AFTER WEEK HE SETS IT OFF BY BRINGING ORIGINALITY TO HIS SETS AND THE CROWD MOVIN' TO WHATEVER GENRE OF MUSIC HE PLAYS. Berni-Rare B-Sides I was chilling out with some friends last Sunday afternoon when me & my buddy decided to crack open a couple of crates, dust off some old classics & spin some of that old wax just for the hell of it. Taking it in turns to try & out do each other.... it wasn't long before we we're straying away from the main mixes & going into obscure B-Side / Remix territory. A lot of fun discovering some old gold, not to mention some REALLY flakey remixes by some now BIG DJ's ; ) I picked my top 10 favourites of the session & decided to make this hour long retro mix with a twist. All tracks are recorded from the original 12" Vinyls which have seen toooooo many parties & most of them are 15-20 plus years old so expect some surface noise especially on the intros which wear down the fastest / get most abuse. Pretty much a straight mix with only a tad of digital f**king with.
