With a youthful grin shining through his generation-X facade, Jason has been delighting comedy audiences with his quick wits, clever material, and colorful characters since the late 1990s. A multi-dimensional performer Jason takes the crowd on a ride delivering razor sharp lines of deadpan cynicism in the midst of high energy charisma. His comedy derived from real life experience and the everyday nuances of that life...
Born and raised in the baseball heavy cow town of Sacramento, yet despite his love of the game, by age 13 Jason was convinced by coaches that he would probably never be able to hit a curveball. This created a dilemma and under the pressure of his schools "career day" he decided his new dream was to be a professional stand-up comic. He was so extremely shy and reserved as an adolescent that the decision seemed out of character by those who knew Jason best. But they did not know about the journal full of comedic material that Jason had kept well hidden within his mind. His parents worried and cautioned him to have something solid to "fall back on"... a good job working in the coal mines perhaps???
Jason left Nor Cal for the East coast at an early age returning home as a well decorated Navy veteran of the Desert Strom War. He then worked briefly as a sports columnist for a local paper, a sheet metal fabricator, and as a postal worker... A vet who grew increasingly more liberal following his discharge, Jason had numerous run-ins with management, the lack of management, and other misinformed individuals. Following repeated encouragement from his co-workers Jason finally left the security of the mines to share his thoughts, views, and stories on comedy stages across the country.
Now, one of the most respected acts within the business, Jason was ranked among "Americas Top Touring Comedians" by the Entertainment Business Journal, he has performed improv onstage with Robin Williams, and his debut comedy album "Road Comic" can be heard on XM Satellite Radio.
With a strong following of loyal fans in the Northern California and Reno area that is now reaching up to the Northwest and down to the Southwest, Jason has an act that grabs your attention, keeps it, and makes you want to hear more...

General
I'm not a sports fanatic anymore, I eventually grew out of it, but I love baseball and I always will. I bleed Giants orange! I love the slow pace of a ballgame on a summer afternoon. I love to hear the announcers recant stories from the past while stand by the grill with a cold brew. I love the deep history, the strategy, the smell of the freshly cut grass and roasted peanuts. Fathers with son's and daughters. I love that anyone who goes to a game has a chance to catch a foul ball. I love that during the season even the worst team will beat the best team a few times. Most of all, I love that I have watched thousands of baseball games in my life at all levels and each time I saw something I had never seen before. Baseball is just one of those things, you either get it, or you don't.
By pure luck I was able to capture Barry Bonds' 660th home run swing. This homer tied former Giant (and Barry's Godfather) Willie Mays for 3rd on the all-time list. I snapped this off from the upper deck holding the camera high above my head on Opening Day 2004. What a moment!
Music
I like music that's not ripped off! I feel bad for the new generation of music listeners who don't realize what they're listening to. Zeppelin, Stones, Dylan, Doors, Audioslave, G N R, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Van Morrison, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews Band, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Tesla, AC-DC, Kiss, Candlebox, Metalica, Heather Nova, Billy Joel, U2, Tom Petty, you get the point...

Movies
I'm a movie fanatic, I see alot of movies, and most of them suck ass! But, when you catch a good movie...hell ya!
Some favs- Any Hitchcock! Rear Window, Psycho, The Big Lebowski, Swingers, The Terminal, Fargo, Resivoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Moulin Rouge, Amiele', Vanilla Sky (you either get it or you don't), About Schmidt, Fight Club, Bowling for Columbine, F-911, Pirates of the Carribean, A League of Their Own, Shawshank Redemption, Memento, Hoosiers, Office Space, Dead Presidents. So many others I can't even begin to list them all.
OHHH! I just rented Mind the Gap, AMAZING FILM!
I do have a guilty pleasure for really bad, cheessy, horror films with terrible acting. There's nothing more entertaining than taking some time out for, herbal meditation ;) and then watching Dawn of the Dead. If you think of it as a comedy, you will laugh your ass off!
Movies I can't stand.
Anytime the best thing you can say is, Great special affects, that means the story sucks! Any movie where the guy wants the really hot chick and ignores the Plain Jane until the final scene, and we all new Jane would be smoking hot once she ditched the glasses and the sweater for that prom dress. Why are a bunch of 30 year olds at the prom anyways?
Lebowski Quotes Here!
Television
I'd rather experience real life. That means no video games either. Television news is a joke as well, I have no nead to see or hear right wing propoganda. Yet, there are a few shows I really enjoy, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, and my all-time-fav The Twilight Zone!
Books
There once was a time when I practically lived at the bookstore. My favs- Webster's Dictionary (kinda wordy, but very educational.) Webster's Thesaurus ( I read this and now I am never at loss for words.) I'm also big on Do it Yourself Books.
But my ALL-TIME-FAV has to be The Giving Tree. If you thought it was a children's book you may want another look.
Heroes
Selfless people, are there any? Heroes is just a silly term to me. We've all done some heroic deed, just as well, we have all been selfish. People who inspire me, Can I change the topic like that? I'm inspired by those closest to me, you know who you are. Artistically I am inspired by Richard Pryor, Mitch Hedberg, Bill Cosby, Dave Attell, Lenny Bruce, Bob Dylan & Shel Silverstein.
Stand Up Comedy is my passion. I've wanted to be a stand up comic from the time I was an adolescent. Once my parents finally convinced me I'd never make it as a baseball player. But, like all dreams, comedy was pushed to the side. I served in the Navy, aboard the USS Nassau, from '90-'94, started a family then got a 9-5 at the post office in the town where I was born (Carmichael, CA). I worked there a couple of years before a few great friends convinced me to pursue my passion. Amidst many 'Office Space' like incidents I resigned and never even checked the rear view mirror.
When I'm not performing in N.CA or Reno, I spend many weeks of the year on the road, touring from comedy club to casinos, theatres, nightclubs, & I've certainly played my share of dive bars. I usually have shows 3-5 nights a week, often 2 shows per night. The road is long, weary, and lonely as hell. But I am living the dream.
Almost everynight somebody tells me how I'm gonna 'make it someday.' It always makes me giggle. I'm living my dream doing what I love and get paid fairly well for it. I haven't punched a time clock in years. I have made it! This is what I wanted to do, and I'm doing it. It's not about being on television, or in movies, or being spotted on the street. It's about always having another gig on the schedule, always having one more paid audience to entertain.
One last thing...
I am secure with the text towards the bottom of the page where it says,
'JASON HAS 0 FRIENDS'
I recently did a show with Robin Williams at the Sweetwater Theatre in Mill Valley, CA (near San Francisco). Robin is a very cool guy, but more importantly he's a good Giants Fan.
Ya, this pic is from a long time ago, it was taken following the Desert Storm War during Fleet Week in 1991. I fell in love with NY during that week. Somewhere along the line I guess I decided to drop the 'Billy Bad Ass Stance", LOL...
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who needs a laugh. Everyone needs to laugh. Somebody loyal & genuine.

Here's your cheesy Monday joke to choke down with the drink...hehehehe
Two ropes walk in to a bar, one rope calls the bartender and says “Barkeep, let me get a couple of beers.” The bartender says “I’m sorry we dont serve ropes in here.”
Frustrated the ropes walk out and, since this was the only bar in town, they thought about it a little while when finally one rope says “I’ve got an idea.” So he gets him self into a bind and frizzles his ends and walks back into the bar and says “Barkeep, can I get a couple of beers.”
The barkeep says “Sure, but aren’t you those same two ropes that came in here earlier?” The rope answers “Nope, I’m a frayed knot.”
