...Lately, I've had the awesome pleasure of reading "Because They Hate" by Brigitte Gabriel and "Dear Mr. Lincoln", a collection of information and letters to one of America's top-three favorite Presidents...as usual there are several others being read piece by piece when I get some free time (or I get "the nudge"...some of you know what I'm talking about)...
...the list could go on for days, and one of these days I'm going to post the "Library List" collection of everything I've got on my shelf in the office, and see who's got the patience to actually go through them all :P

The one and only, Jesus Christ....hey, if you know anyone else who lived a sinless life, got beat down by some crazy Roman dudes, had his body ripped open by the cat-o'nine-tails 40 times, had the hair of his face ripped out, got nailed to a cross, took your sin on his back, died a sacrificial death to pay for YOUR screwups and failures, resurrected from the dead on the third day to show once and for all that
(as only God can give life), walked around for 40 days after resurrecting, then ascended into heaven giving one last commandment of "Go into all the world and make disciples of all the nations", well then hey, I guess I can list your guys here too :-D but if not, then you better take another look at the Real Deal, 'cause no man ever walked the land like this man Jesus....
Anyways, nowadays I spend my days doin' what I can to show people the love of Christ in practical ways. Yes, I'm gonna share a bit about who He is with you...yes, I'm gonna ask you if you know Him...and you can bet your gasoline loan (lol) that I'm gonna do my best to show you who He is through what He has brought me through and who He is still changing me into. True Freaks know....Jesus ain't finished till we stop breathin'...we're works in progress and we want to introduce you to our Remodeler. All it costs you is your past, and the benefits are outta this world!
Much love to the folks both on and off campus who are giving so many of their "off" hours in the service of Christ through the proclamation of the gospel of God's salvation through His Son! Whether we're still at school, interning in churches, leading Bible studies or "just" being salt and light wherever God leads us throughout each day, that doesn't mean we have any less on our plates...24/7/365, in everything we say, do, and think, guys and gals....remember that.
Finally (at least for now), I just want to leave you guys with a word of promise from your Father that you've heard a million times but perhaps it needs to sink in this time: "SEEK FIRST the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." You don't have to worry about the stuff, guys...Big Papa has all our needs already taken care of in advance. How about we start trusting Him like we claim we do?

John the Baptist, the original JeSuS fReAk, with his pimped out camel hair coat and steady diet of locusts and honey....Isaiah, the crazy prophet dude who resorted to running naked to get the attention of the people in town....Adam of course, to ask him what the heck was he thinkin' takin' that fruit from Eve (insert random "sheesh, women...." comment here)....Joseph, the dude who's own brothers ganged up on him, sold him to slave traders, and told his pops that a wild critter killed him, then in Egypt had his boss' wife try to mOnGoLiZe him and he got blamed and sent to prison, all the while he stayed faithful to God and blameless in his actions....James and John, the "sons of thunder"....Peter, chronic sufferer of "foot in mouth" disease....John the Beloved, who's attempted execution via being submerged in boiling oil was a shocking testimony of God showing His kids that they are truly invincible when we're following Him, until the day that HE and HE ALONE decides its time for us to come home to Him....anyone from "Foxe's Book of Martyrs", as all their stories and testimonies are just awesomely inspiring....and first and foremost, Jesus, face to face.... Oh YEAH.....TEE HEE..... I'm gonna meet all of them! I got business to take care of here first, very important business, my heavenly Father's business, but as soon as I'm done, the meetings truly begin!!
