His life brought him to music and now his music brings life.

Jason started playing and creating music when he was very young. By the age of 10 he was composing. Now, at the ambitious age of 21, this Southern California talent is releasing his self produced, debut EP (half album) entitled "Where Does It Hurt?"

The album is the expressive result of his personal journey into the deeper, more delicate "hurts" of his life. Jason did not expect the album to be birthed out of this time of struggle and reflection, but it wasn't long before he realized that this battle was for much more than just his own growth. "Writing these songs has been like finding the keys that unlock hope and relief to combat some of life's heaviest wounds and worries." Jason continues, "We all struggle to carry the weight of our wounds and imperfections. It is for this reason that I made plans to take this material public. I want to take a shot at spreading a little hope, and maybe even a little inspiration. Everyone hurts... No one should ever have to hurt alone." The 7 track album tours through a diverse range of dynamics, unified by Jason's perfect pitch voice, lyrical depth, and powerful instrumentation. The EP is already stirring the interest of radio DJ's and all manner of music industry professionals on both coasts."

"Where Does It Hurt?" will be available on the official Jason Sharp website, iTunes, Napster, Amazon, CD Baby, and in some Southern California record stores, in the Spring of 2009.

Sharp enjoys all aspects of the creative process of music and that is why in the last year, he has begun to use his gifts to help other aspiring musicians discover and refine their talents. This has evolved into an artist development venture called JSM Productions, and there are already multiple clients who have come to Sharp for his guidance. Jason works with each artist to improve song writing and delivery. After an artist’s songs are lyrically and musically strong, he produces and compiles them into an EP for the artist to use to break into the music scene. Sharp has been working with many different genres of music ranging from Hip Hop, to Acoustic Folk, to Rock, and each artist has included Sharp as a collaboration on at least one of their songs.

Sharp hopes that his music will be able to reach people all across the world and that it will help bring hope into the lives of his listeners. His songs come from the heart and from many personal experiences, and he hopes that his passionate and artistic process of personifying some of life’s challenges will inspire others to find their strength and freedom in expression.

Sharp currently resides in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
