Influences
Lots. I'm influenced by people who are good at what they do. As long as they use their superpowers for good and not evil. (most of the time)
I am a drummer/percussionist living in the San Francisco bay area. I grew up playing classical music and luckily learned mallet instruments at an early age. When I reached high school the guitar player in jazz band told to me check out Led Zeppelin IV. "Dude, it's the only one you need to listen to" I then went to college and they gave me a degree just for playing percussion! Now i can't stop playing rocknroll, afro-beat, jazz, latin and whatever else can be played on a drumset. I will be holding down the principal drum chair for the months of March and April 2009 for the ongoing theater show, "Beach Blanket Babylon". You can see me play drums with the following local acts on a regular basis: Aphrodesia, Vince Wallace (every Sunday) The Trifles, Spaceblaster, The Japonize Elephants (vibes), and the all too rare Mitch Marcus quintet + 13 (vibes). I also have the honor to play with Tin Cup Serenade, The Jacques Ibula Trio and Jascha Ephraim's incarnations from time to time. When Metallica breaks up and gets back together for the reunion tour, I will audition and replace Lars. I have also seen Black Sabbath live. Need a drummer for gigging or recording? Give me a call.
