We make
radio shows & put on gigs at B2 in Norwich, and other cool stuff.. Read On..
Planet Beet
is also our weekly radio show on Breakthru
Radio featuring the best unsigned & independant music, comedy,
and exlusive live gig recordings. It's get 500,000 listeners per show
(and rising!!), and is hosted by Mr Jason, and recorded at
our recording studio Old
School Studios.
We currently have no gigs
planned. After a thoroughly enjoyable year-long run of thirteen PB gigs
at Norwich's excellent B2 venue it's time for a bit of a break. It's been
fantastic working with Em, Jake, and the rest of the staff at B2, and as
I constantly tell people, B2 is capable of the best sound of any of the
Norwich venues, of ANY size, in my humble opinion, and I'm sure I'll be
back there a lot in the future, whether putting on gigs there, doing sound,
or just visiting. It's been great to hear the amount of
bands that come up to me at the sound-desk after their sets and say "that
was the best sound we've ever had, and everyone says it sounded amazing
out front too!". So, B2, I'll see you again soon, but for now, thanks
for the mammories!
- Jason
Who I'd like to meet:
Local people (& bands!) who are GENUINELY enthusiastic and excited about music of all kinds, and who actively support the local music scene, and who aren't too cool to dance and clap when good bands are playing.
FYI: we don't book the following kinds of bands, so don't waste your time and ours by trying to add us, or hassling us for a gig (which happens every bloody day):
Metal (any kind)
Emo
Screamo
Hardcore Punk
Pop Punk
Classic Rock
Covers
Anything with "Funky" in the description
It's just not at all what we're about. Good luck to all of you though. :o)
Interests
General
We also run a recording studio www.myspace.com/oldschoolstudios www.oldschoolstudios.co.uk, and a tiny record label www.myspace.com/laprecords www.laprecords.co.uk.
We record ANOTHER weekly radio show called "BTR Live @ Old School Studios, UK" for Breakthru Radio, which goes out every Saturday, and each week features a great band playing a live 45-55min set in our recording studio in Great Witchingham, near Norwich, in the UK.
Music
If it's local to Norwich, and not cover versions, then we're interested in hearing it.
*see "Who I'd Like To Meet" section for exceptions to this rule
i'm currently going thru my stuff and packing to move in June. i found a package you sent me on on 3.12.03. inside was some Animal Planet stuff, including some badges for TSH and AP. finding this made me smile! i miss you, friend.
