I hate reading and/or writing bios. I've been in LA since '98 and have been playing out off and on since '99. I put out my first record in '06, and it's been a struggle to get another one done since then. I've got tons of material, but even a DIY approach costs $$$. So, my ultimate goal this year is my sophomore release.
I've done some cool things with some of my writing. I've sold songs to Disney for a musical movie that never materialized. I worked on the project for quite a while with my old friend, and Tony nominated director of Rock of Ages, Kristin Hanggi. It was the most money I had ever made for song-writing, and hopefully more things like that will happen in the not-so-distant future.
I got one of my songs, Lucy (Hungry Heart Cafe), on an episode of Gilmore Girls. It was a few seasons ago, but they still play it. You can see me for about 30 seconds in my white cowboy hat, and you can sort of hear the song, too. It's the episode where all these troubadours take over the town. It was a pretty cool experience, and on occasion, I still get some pennies through ASCAP.
As for performing, I've played in front of hundreds before, and in front of a handful of people and still to this day find the intimate settings more nerve racking. I once opened up for Foghat. Yeah, those guys.
I did a cover of The Cowsills', "The Rain, The Park, and Other Things," for an indie film called, "Young, Single and Angry." It's on my website if you want to check it out.
The most recent news I have is that my song, "Jessica Drive," will be in a new indie film called, "Permagrin."
I have a 3 yr old daughter named Maya who is my life.
Everything else can only be found out if you come to a show of mine, or we become buddies, or your name is Eminem.
