Matt Jasper has already self-released four solo albums, beginning with Jasper Makes Music (January 2001), followed by Thinking Back (May 2002), The Distance Between (July 2004), and As A Matter of Fact (March 2007).
He is currently in the process of preparing for the follow up to As A Matter Of Fact. In order to help prepare, he is asking for your help. Matt Jasper is actively requesting collaborators, from musicians to web coders, from promoters to fans. Any musician or coder who wishes to collaborate should send an email to matt@ mattjasper.com with "matt jasper collaboration" in the header. Any fan or promoter interested in helping spread Matt Jasper's music should add their favorite Matt Jasper song as one of their featured songs on their profile, and post a music player widget on their myspace page. While in college at Rutgers University, he was a part of a band called Red Electric, which in turn founded an organization for student musicians called the Rutgers University Musicians Guild (or RUMG, still active 6 years later and counting!) Matt Jasper was also a college DJ for 90.3 RLC-WVPH FM in Piscataway, NJ under the pseudonym DJ Tanner, on the "Full House of Rock". During his time at Rutgers, he also led bands for over two years under the Jasper name.
Now graduated, Matt Jasper resides in New York City, where he works within the music industry on behalf of music publishers and songwriters. He often plays shows throughout the NYC Tri-State area. Matt Jasper has established a music publishing company on behalf of his songs, What's The Matter Music, as well as a record label to release his albums, For The Records. Owning both his master recordings, as well as his publishing, any music supervisors should email licensing@ mattjasper.com in order to license his current and future songs for their next project. Artists interested in covering one of his songs or collaborating should also email licensing@ mattjasper.com to let him know!
He also welcomes feedback from promoters, producers, as well as fans at large. Just drop an email on by (matt@ mattjasper.com) and send a comment down below.
