I am Jasmine Ramos aka Jassyone. I’m a Philadelphia native artist who has been creating paintings and illustrations since roughly the late 90’s. I studied art at the H. S. for the Creative and Performing Arts in Philadelphia and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. I enjoy using vibrant colors and suggestive imagery to lure the viewer into my imaginary yet familiar settings of urban and natural landscapes. I try to intentionally make my art something that the spectator will look at and find a meaning of their own in. Although my work is still ultimately my own expression, I feel I have done my job as an artist, if my pieces can be remembered and carried with the viewer as their own interpretation intertwined with my own. I use a variety of mixed mediums and layers of repetitive shapes, to create a dream like journey that will entice you to want to see more of what might be lurking in the distance. I welcome you to come and enjoy and maybe take a bit of my journey with you.
