About me: I am interested in meeting others for networking in the Film Industry.
I am a Director, Producer, Writer, Cinematographer, Graphic Designer, Artist, Composer (ChiaroscurO) and Marketer.
Currently working on several documentaries, as well as novels, short story collections, CDs, cookbooks and a fine art/photography book...
The documentaries (working toward original features):
Charles Beaumont: The Short Life of Twilight Zone's Magic Man is about the esteemed Mr. Beaumont, and features interviews with his son Chris Beaumont, William F. Nolan, Richard Matheson, George Clayton Johnson, Harlan Ellison, Ray Bradbury and many more. Chuck Beaumont was one of the main writers for the original Twilight Zone. Filming is 100% complete, and it will have probably 30-45 minutes of narration. Film will be between 60 and 70 minutes long.
Image, Reflection, Shadow: Artists of the Fantastic is about fantastic imagery from the time of Hieronymous Bosch to the present. There will be three in the series: one regarding American artists, one about European artists and one following the scene and art in Australia. Films will be approximately 90 minutes each. Shot in High Definition. The first one, about European artists, is now in post-production. Artists already filmed include H.R. Giger, Ernst Fuchs, Joe Coleman, Victor Safonkin, Roger Dean, Robert Williams, J.K. Potter and many others discussing their influences and beliefs.
The AckerMonster Chronicles is about Forrest J Ackerman, and features a lot of his friends and companions (John Landis, Joe Dante, Ray Bradbury, Dan O'Bannon, Ray Harryhausen, Greg Bear, etc.) speaking about Forry and his times as an editor, collector and agent. Filming is 100% complete, and we have begun post-production. It will have about 30 minutes of narration. Scheduled to be about 90 minutes.
Who I'd like to meet: Other professionals, especially people into distribution and marketing.
Best wishes for your birthday! If you want, I'll let you download one of my MP3 tunes for free as my birthday present for you. Just let me know which one would you like.
Thanks for the add, I too think Richard Matheson is the dog bollocks. Shame what they did to I am legend. Check out my song about LP Hartley if you get the chance!!
Howdy! Thanks for the friend request. And yeah... Harlan Ellison has had a huge influence on my life and the way I see the world. The man is brilliant. At least in my opinion. heh.
