Influences
JAVAA - dedicated to the "Preservation of Jamaica's Musical Heritage" - in its 5th year (2008), launched the "JAMAICA MUSIC HALL OF FAME" at its Headquarters, Half Way Tree Entertainment Complex, 5-7 Hagley Park Road, Kingston 10, Jamaica, W.I. on February 14, 2008.
The Inductees to JAVAA's "JAMAICA MUSIC HALL OF FAME" are selected by a panel of notable musicologists and historians who carefully interpreted the interestingly crowded canvas of the entire Jamaican music scene.
JAVAA is delighted to dedicate space for a Photo Album that will showcase all Inductees; beginning with our first 12, in 2008 through to... We hope you'll enjoy! They are, truly, a part of the influence.

Our ultimate aim is to have as members, the vast majority of singers, deejays, musicians, producers, disc jocks, and allied personnel who were - and still are - active participants in the evolution and development of Jamaica’s music from the 1950s to the present time.
Although our current membership is largely locally based, we have started making contact with overseas-based performers; and the response has been very encouraging. Provisions also exist for associate and honorary memberships.
