Hi l We are located on the historical downtown Independence square at 107 S Main. Yes Harry Trumans old stomping grounds. We are under new ownership as of June 1st. Lois McDonald brings her fabulous flair and great sense of business and humour to this wonderful establishment. We have live music or are attempting to, every Fri and Sat nite . Our hours are 7 am to 7 pm Mon thru Thurs and it just depends on Fri and Sat, if there is a need to stay later we will cater to the crowd.. usually the music is scheduled from 730 to 930 but often goes later...Lois is currently polishing the apple of work wrought by the previous owners and we are only going up from here. We offer a variety of delicious deli sandwiches. Our premium quality meat coming from Kurts Famous Meat Market. All sorts of delicious desserts and wonderful coffees ,smoothies and etc....so you know what to do ,stop in and say Hello!!! We would love to see your smiling faces!!!

Well, Main St Coffeehouse -- ahem! -- may I say that I am looking forward to a Robert Folsom event November 10th, 2007, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., or thereabouts, what with encores and all. ;) I will have new material written -- and practiced! -- for debut at Main St Coffeehouse.
The baby grand is a wonderful addition -- even without the pedals! At last, a venue with a pianoforte in residence. How long I have waited. Thank you, Main St Coffeehouse!

Main Street, You have absolutely the greatest owner, Lois, the greatest baristas Jim, Matt and Ms. Paula. Not to forget the best patrons in the world. At our fundraiser tonight ten performers entertained 75 folks and made some green for our KC Songwriters Circle wooo who!!!!!! Thanks for being the coffeehouse with the best vibe!!!!! rkj
Great to see a site for Main Street Coffeehouse. Main Street Coffeehouse has the atmosphere that a coffeehouse should have: warm, peaceful, quiet (except for the blender...lol..), good food, good coffee, friendly staff.......AND, it's has the Americana and traditional virtues that I find so cool about small towns. It's right "on the square," and that's where it belongs. I think I'm going to enjoy this place........Welcome, Lois!
What a pretty website for a coffeehouse! You must have a very nice barista that takes the time to make you look so good on myspace! Thanks for the comments and yes....we are going to crank it up on Saturday evening. Lots of great songwriters performing...including a few new faces. Wonderful coffee and teas.....with sandwiches and pastries....beautiful baristas and a new great owner....my, my, you are a lucky coffeehouse. I miss KC so bad and I have only been gone 24 hrs. See ya soon. :) rkj
