Sounds Like
Have been compared to Fleetwood Mac and The Band, but, erm..., we really try to be as original as possible, but of course, everythings going to sound like something to someone...
Java Shrine are a 5-piece acoustic rock outfit made up of three brothers and two old friends that employ 4 and 5 part harmonies, with upbeat acoustic singer/songwriter influences.
Java Shrine have been together for over nine years and the line-up has remained the same since day one.
Java Shrine released their debut album, "Nothing To Declare", in April 2005 and have been doing well with independant sales.
They have since toured Germany and Scandanavia with the album.
Having not played the Blues On The Bay festival with a full complement since 2007, Java Shrine return to this years festival with their original line up, for what will undoubtedly be some top drawer blues/rock delivered with their signature harmonies and slide trombone. As you know the lads all hail from Warrenpoint and this 5-piece outfit will be returning home to this years festival for what will be a "not to be missed” official reunion gig. A local favourite

Just wanted to let you know that Criag and myself are playing a show at Crash Mansion again. IT is April 11th at 10 pm. Matt Hinkley is also playing at 8:45. All the info is on my page. Come out and support if you can.
I wrote this comment not because I wanted to but because I felt it only right to.
You see this band, Java Shrine, a band I admire alot have called it a day and went their own musical roads.
Java Shrine have been playing together for as long as I can remember(I'm 28) and have been an inspiration with their unique musical sound and also unique musical friendship. The only way I can explain this to you is by telling you to get a beer and sit down and watch Martin Scorsese's,The Last Waltz. This film is about The Band. When the end credits come up then you may see where I'm coming from.
Now over ten years on,100's of gigs and 1000's of miles later I realise how special Java Shrine where. They are one of the bands in years to come that I will tell my kids about.
As I sit here on a Sunday afternoon nursing my hangover with a can of redbull I hold a toast to Java Shrine and as you read this comment remember all the great bands and songs we as music lovers never get to hear. ?
Hey, I've had alot of people asking me about whether or not I had a mailing list. I have put one up there today that will put you on my list of The Weak Need email updates that I send out. Yes you can unsubscribe from the list as well.
I'll send out an update every few weeks or so. I will also send out snippits of thing's I've just written that no one else has heard yet.
The option is there anyway.
Take care.

PS I have posted a new blog where you can vote on the radio leadoff single.
Just thought I'd touch base with everyone to let you know that I've uploaded a new mix of "Lay Me Down" (Still in demo form) This was the song that won me my first international songwriting top five finalist award.
I will be recording the drums with Jim Boudreau in a couple weeks and acoustic guitar around the same time. I'm also blown away that Bob Egan From Blue Rodeo has said he would play acoustic guitar on the track for me and I am so honored as I am a huge fan of the group.
